Rome, view of the Arch of Drusus, with four men in uniform standing abreast beneath it on the road. Two columns stand on either side of the front of the arch. A lamp is on the left of the arch. Plants are growing on the ruins, especially on the entablature above, and a pole to the right (flagpole?). A wall on the left is seen through the arch, with enclosed trees indicating the presence of a garden.
