Jean-Baptiste Sabatier (1801-1881), der sich nach seiner Verheiratung 1838 Sabatier-Blot nannte, war ein renommierter Miniaturmaler in Paris, der unmittelbar nach Bekanntgabe von Daguerres Erfindung mit dem Daguerreotypieren begann. Das Palais Royal, wo Sabatier-Blot arbeitete, war eine der Keimzellen der Fotografie in Paris. (J.V.)
