He wears a waistcoat, he was the second son of Antonio Antonelli (1808-1852) and Caterina Fabrizi (? - 1897). The family Antonelli was owner of a tanning company in Spoleto. Giovanni donated several estate properties to the hospital of Spoleto. He is today remembered as a benefactor and a square in his city bears his name ("Piazza Giovanni Antonelli"). The original mat and backing are missing.
