She has dark ringlets and a lace trimmed bonnet with ribbons. Her gown has ruched sleeves and is trimmed with fringing, tassels and a lace collar. Her gold chain is gilded and the whole image is hand coloured. A shawl elaborately decorated with flowers on a ground of deep red rests on her lap and is tucked about her. She holds a daguerreotype case with a gold stamp in her hand which rest on her lap.
